The culminating event for WriteGirl invites friends, families and supporters to witness the progress and experience the writing of the WriteGirl program. Teens will take to the stage to share poems, prose and writing advice.

Character and Dialogue Workshop. For aspiring playwrights, screenwriters and those seeking to improve their character development, the Character & Dialogue Workshop gives access to some tried and true techniques used by today's most prominent writers of plays, television and movies.

Performance Workshop. Now that our teens have found their written voice, it's time for them to practice their actual voice. Public speaking coaches guide members on ways to articulate, project, enunciate and overcome stage fright in this fun workshop.

This workshop will kick-off the 12th Season of WriteGirl, and will focus on how writing helps you academically and professionally. This year, we would like to request that family members only attend for the last 45 minutes of the day. RSVP is required.

 

WriteGirl Workshop

WriteGirl's workshops are lively, interactive and rich with writing tools, tips, techniques and shared secret recipes. There are moments when the room is completely still except for a slice of paper now and then and the scratch of pens. There are other moments when questions and answers burst out, offering sudden inspiration for everyone. There are special guests, music, outdoor adventures and always plenty of nutritious snacks and drinks.
