UNITE-LA – Internships for people 16-24 years old that live in LA County. The program offers 160 hours of paid work experience within sectors such as Business Development, Marketing, Design, IT, and Software Development. To see requirements and to apply, click here! I Think an Idea – I Think an Idea is looking for highly motivated, skilled individuals who can face the challenge of working in the competitive world of digital media marketing. Interns will gain the experience needed to propel them into a highly rewarding career in the fields of social media marketing, SEO services, and online reputation management. Internships are unpaid and run for 90 days. They are currently looking for an Editorial Journalism Intern, a Social Media Marketing Intern, an Email Marketing Intern, a Simple web and graphic design Intern and a Public Relation/PR Intern. Local Bookstore Readings: Check out events at your nearest independent bookstore. In Los Angeles for example, Book Soup, Skylight Books, Octavia’s Bookshelf, the Last Bookstore and Chevalier’s Books, all have events featuring writers.
